Oscar is coming of age, against his better judgment. In doing so he must experience the necessary evil of leaving something behind, but he can still feel it in the pit of his stomach. Belly is director Julia Pott’s thesis film from the Royal College of Art. It was animated entirely on paper combined with live action video elements. Julia worked closely with sound designer Joseph Tate for the soundtrack, and a nine year old Olivia Gurney-Randall for the voice of Oscar.
