Sinossi / Synopsis (italian and/or english):
„Gazela“ the film is a reduction of the long documentation from Sinti and Romanies. People in little family villages up to 500 families per camp in the countries of ex Jugoslavia today. The film try to show the difficult situation of the daily life of this poeple in Belgrade Sebia. Actually a situation many big cities in Europe like Paris, Rome, Madrid, Milan and others are be confronted. They are less happy when outsiders point to their own shameful problem: the conditions and treatment of the continent´s 10m- plus Romani (or Gypsi) citizens. On every social index, from income to life expectancy, from illiteracy to health, from criminality to child welfare, the Romaies do worse than any other European group. But a much bigger problem is the sense of despair and exclusion that makes going to school or seeking work seem a hopeless waste of time. In the film I concentrate especially about the suffering of women and children.
